We want to make the Great Bear Gallery your go-to destination for inspiring exhibitions, artistic gatherings, and creative collaborations right here in the heart of Tunstall.
Our gallery and workshop spaces are based on Hose Street in Tunstall, infamous in the 60’s for being home to The Golden Torch, a Northern Soul hotspot. The space is a blank canvas for installations, but has its own character which comes from traces of the old historical building that still remain.
Through workshops and exhibitions in collaboration with both businesses and individual creatives, we hope to give something back to the city and help bring out the creative side in our community along with inspiring the next generation of creatives.
